How do I schedule an appointment?​ You can schedule an initial evaluation or follow-up appointment through the contact form or by reaching out to us directly.

Do I need a referral? No, you do not need to provide a referral to receive treatment. Motion Therapy is direct access meaning a referral or physicians prescription is not required.

What should I expect during the first visit? Whether it be in your home, office, or preferred space, the first visit will be completed in the same comprehensive manner regardless of location. An initial evaluation and examination will be performed to effectively gather specific impairments depending on injury in order to create a personalized plan of care for you. Once the first visit is finished, you can schedule any follow-up visits.

How long are sessions? Sessions are typically 60 minutes for evaluations and treatment sessions.

What equipment do I need? None! Your physical therapist will provide a treatment table and various exercise equipment to use during your session.

Do you accept private insurance? Motion Therapy is an out-of-network company, meaning you pay out-of-pocket for your services. We do not bill insurance, but we will provide invoices for reimbursement upon request. Please let us know at your appointment if you would like an invoice to submit to your insurance or your Flexible Spending Account/Health Savings Account

How much should I expect to pay for each visit? The standard rate is $175 for an initial evaluation/treatment and for any subsequent visits, $160 for telehealth. Package options are also available for three, five, or ten sessions which will reduce the cost per visit. Payment is due at the time of service, in the form of cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, Square, or credit card.

Do you accept Medicare? Please be aware that if you are a Medicare beneficiary, you will be unable to get reimbursed for physical therapy services performed at this clinic and you cannot apply to do so. Services provided to Medicare patients will be performed as wellness and/or preventative treatment.

What is the cancellation policy? If you must cancel or change an appointment, we request that you give us 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment time by calling (714-408-1177) or email (motiontherapyca@gmail.com). There will be a $50.00 cancellation fee if we are not given 24 hours notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
